- Oversee purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation within ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, inventory management, and production to forecast needs and coordinate timely deliveries.
- Monitor supply chain performance metrics, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, supplier capabilities, and regulatory requirements affecting procurement activities.
- Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing department.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing management within a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS is essential for managing procurement workflows effectively.
- In-depth understanding of supply chain principles, logistics operations, and inventory management best practices.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms with suppliers.
- Ability to analyze data, interpret market trends, and make strategic purchasing decisions that benefit the organization.
- Prior experience leading a team and coordinating cross-departmental projects is highly desirable.
