Bright Path Care is seeking committed, child‑centred individuals to join our casual team supporting our children’s homes in Manchester. Our practice is rooted in trauma‑informed care, relational safety and creating nurturing environments where children feel secure, valued and understood.
*About the Role
As a Casual Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Build safe, trusting relationships with children who have experienced trauma.
- Support children with routines, emotional regulation, activities, education and daily living skills.
- Maintain a consistent, structured and nurturing home environment.
- Uphold safeguarding at all times, responding confidently and appropriately to concerns.
- Contribute to high‑quality, child‑centred recording and reflective practice.
- Work 10am–10am shifts, including a sleep‑in paid at £50 plus 30 minute handover from 10am-10.30am when coming off shift.
- Provide flexible cover across weekdays, weekends and school holidays.
Essential Requirements
- Safeguarding experience with the ability to recognise, respond and record concerns accurately.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent Level 3 qualification) Essential.
- A child‑centred, trauma‑informed approach.
- Emotional resilience, reliability and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a supportive team.
- Flexibility to work across our Manchester homes.
-A full UK driving licence.
Desirable**
- Experience in residential care, youth work, education or similar.
