Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to enhance their comfort and independence
- Administer medication accurately according to prescribed instructions and maintain detailed records of each administration
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring safety during meal preparation
- Support patients with activities of daily living, including light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping errands to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in conversation and activities to promote mental well-being
- Follow care plans meticulously, documenting observations, changes in condition, and any incidents or concerns for ongoing assessment
- Drive clients safely to appointments or social activities, ensuring punctuality and adherence to traffic regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living environments or nursing homes is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in patient care, including dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, hospice care, or senior care settings
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and first aid procedures
- Familiarity with home care practices such as behavior management and caregiving techniques
- Valid driving license with a clean record for safe transportation responsibilities
- Experience in meal preparation, heavy lifting, or childcare is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with diverse client needs
