Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of roofing sites, including organizing materials and tools.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and install roofing materials according to project specifications.
- Support the installation of roofing systems by carrying materials, scaffolding, and equipment to designated areas.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move shingles, metal panels, insulation, and other roofing components.
- Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement of roofing elements.
- Aid in the fabrication and assembly of roofing components using welding, carpentry, masonry, or plumbing skills as needed.
- Maintain a clean work environment by removing debris and securing work areas to promote safety for all team members.
Experience
- Prior construction experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is advantageous.
- Knowledge of roofing systems, schematics, welding, carpentry, masonry or plumbing is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and working at heights.
- Strong attention to safety protocols and willingness to learn industry best practices.
