IMH Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Street Scene Operations Manager for our client based in Doncaster (DN5).
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager with a background in Street Scene, Grounds Maintenance, or Local Government environmental services to join a busy team on an urgent temporary assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of Street Scene services, including street cleansing and grounds maintenance.
- Supervise operational teams and monitor performance.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental legislation and council policies.
- Manage operational budgets and resources effectively.
- Respond to service requests, enquiries and complaints.
- Liaise with councillors, community groups and other council departments.
- Plan and allocate staff, vehicles and equipment to meet service demands.
- Support staff development and manage attendance and performance.
Requirements:
- Previous management experience within Street Scene, Grounds Maintenance or Environmental Services.
- Experience working within Local Government is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety and operational compliance.
- Experience managing teams, budgets and operational resources.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Competent using digital systems for scheduling and reporting.
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday, or, 4 days per week (e.g. Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday), subject to business needs.
- 37 hours per week
- 9:00am - 5:00pm
- £23.75 - £26.78 per hour (depending on experience)
- Weekly pay via the agency!
