MD2 Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Class 2 Delivery Driver on behalf of an established company supplying building materials to commercial and residential customers.
This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity offering regular weekday work and the potential for a long-term position.
Temp to Perm
0600 - 1600 Monday to Friday
Key responsibilities
- Deliver building supplies safely and efficiently to construction sites.
- Complete vehicle checks before and after each shift.
- Ensure all loads are secure and transported safely.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials when required.
- Check delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures.
- Provide a professional and helpful service to customers.
- Follow planned delivery routes and schedules.
- Report vehicle defects, delays and delivery issues promptly.
- Comply with Working Time Directive, drivers’ hours and road transport legislation.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Valid Category C/Class 2 driving licence.
- Current Driver CPC qualification card.
- Valid digital tachograph card.
- Previous Class 2 delivery experience.
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and road safety regulations.
- Comfortable delivering to construction sites and residential properties.
- Physically fit and willing to assist with unloading when required.
- Reliable, punctual and customer-focused.
- Building supplies, builders’ merchant or multi-drop experience would be advantageous.
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences.
- Forklift license preferred
- Moffett license preferred
