- Salary progression beyond Point 11 is subject to achieving and maintaining QTLS/QTS. Progression beyond Point 14 requires achievement of Advanced Teacher Status (ATS).

Key Responsibilities
- Plan a programme of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of all students.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of all students.
- Employ a variety of teaching techniques and resources consistent with best practices, specific content knowledge, the physical limitations of the space provided, and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Plan and deliver a suitable Assessment Programme ensuring marked work meets Middlesbrough College Gold Standards.

Qualifications
- Relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Early Years (Essential).
- Qualified Teacher status or a willingness to work towards it.
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths, or an equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Up-to-date knowledge and/or experience in teaching Childcare and Early Years.
- Awareness of current challenges within Childcare and Early Years.
- Expertise and/or experience in one or more areas of Childcare and Early Years.
Knowledge & Skills
- Demonstrable ability to effectively disseminate good practice.
- Capability to address inappropriate classroom behaviour promptly and efficiently.
- Strong time management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
