Payroll, HR & Business Support Coordinator
Flair Home help is an established home help and support service working across Wokingham Borough and surrounding areas. We are looking for an experienced, organised and dependable person to join our team.
This is a varied and responsible role with the potential to develop into a senior management position in the future for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and processing monthly payroll using Moneysoft
- Checking staff timesheets, hours, mileage, travel time, holidays and sickness
- Preparing and checking client hours for invoicing and liaising with our outsourced invoicing service
- Recording receipts and expenses and preparing information for our outsourced bookkeeper/accountant
- Maintaining Excel spreadsheets and Dropbox records
- Holiday, sickness, HR and general staff administration
- Learning our rota and scheduling systems to provide cover during staff sickness and annual leave
- Being capable of overseeing the day to day running of the business when required, dealing confidently with routine staff and client matters and escalating more serious issues appropriately
About You
Previous payroll experience and strong Excel, spreadsheet and IT skills are essential. You must be confident working independently, using your own initiative and taking responsibility when required.
Previous experience working within social care and coordinating staff rotas and arranging cover would be a significant advantage.
Good knowledge of Wokingham Borough and surrounding areas would also be highly desirable.
HR administration experience would be a significant advantage.
Moneysoft experience is desirable but not essential for someone with strong payroll experience.
Flexibility
Flexibility is essential. Applicants must be able to vary or increase their hours when reasonably required, sometimes at relatively short notice, particularly to cover staff absence and during busy payroll and invoicing periods.
Friday working until 5pm and availability around key month-end payroll and invoicing periods are essential. Annual leave will normally need to be arranged outside these critical periods.
The successful candidate will participate fairly in our shared Bank Holiday and Christmas/New Year cover rotas. Where a Bank Holiday is worked, the employee can choose either double-time pay or the equivalent holiday entitlement to be taken at another agreed time.
The position is primarily remote, with initial face-to-face training and handover taking place in Wokingham.
Hours will initially be approximately 20 per week, increasing to approximately 25–30 hours per week from January 2027.
