We have a team of clinicians who work as an extension of the GP Practice services. Our team includes our HCA’s that provide a variety of clinical tasks within a dedicated clinic, working closely with Clinicians and our Admin team.

Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our team on a permanent, part to full-time basis, working between 24 and 27 hours per week.
The role will involve a combination of four 6-hour morning and afternoon/evening shifts, together with 3-hour rotational Saturday morning shifts.
Shift patterns:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00am–2:00pm
- Monday to Friday: 2:00pm–8:00pm
- Saturday mornings: 9:00am–12:00pm (approximately 1–2 Saturdays per month)
The advertised pay range will be dependent on experience and is inclusive of enhanced rates for evening and weekend working.
The candidate must have experience working in primary/secondary care and preferably have a proven qualification and strong experience in phlebotomy.
Training in other skill areas such as wound care, vaccinations, ECG's and diabetic reviews would be strongly advantageous to the applicant.
Job Description
The following are the core responsibilities of our Healthcare Assistant (some of these after training if required but proven abilities are of great advantage). There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
· Phlebotomy
· ECG
· Completing NHS health checks for eligible patients
· Wound care - dressings and stitch removal
· Diabetic reviews
· Injections and vaccinating
· BP monitoring
· Stock ordering, supplies maintenance
· Chaperoning duties
· Clinical support for specialist clinics, i.e Coils.
· Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of clinical equipment
· Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
· Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment including equipment checks before, during and after patient care interventions
· Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients.
· Using all clinical systems to update patient records on EMIS.
Person Specification
We are looking for an HCA with experience who is willing to learn additional clinical skills. This is an in-person role and the ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work to Farnham, GU9 9QS is essential.
Essential Qualifications
· Must have Healthcare qualification (level 3 or 4) or is working towards gaining equivalent level
· General Practice Care Certificate
· Phlebotomy Certificate
Desirable Experience
· Experience of working in primary/secondary care
· Advanced clinical skills and training in wound care, vaccinating and health checks is advantageous
