Job Title: Artic Driver
Department: Logistics
The duties and responsibilities set out below will form an integral part of the driver position:
- Qualified and experience Artic HGV Class 1 Driving Licence
- Clean, valid full driving license with the necessary up to date CPC license requirements and no endorsements
- Ideally have 2 years Artic driving experience, but not essential
- Haulage of long and/or abnormal loads would be preferable
- Flexibility in working hours & shifts is extremely important
- Tramping will most likely be required throughout the week.
- Looking after any company vehicle in your care - completing checklist, keeping vehicles clean, ensure everything is in working order.
- Complete mandatory vehicle safety checks including checking any load that is loaded and strapped safely.
- Report any defects or maintenance
- Compliance and accuracy of Tachographs and other paperwork is essential i.e: road permits if required, travel details and local requirements with receipts, CPC modules and training completed.
Qualifications/Experience/Education:
- Driving: 2 years but not essential
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Experience with the haulage of abnormal loads, but not essential
- Valid and up to date CPC modules
- Mechanically minded with some on the job knowledge would be preferable
Required licenses or certifications:
- Full driving license - Category C + E up to date CPC Card
- CSCS UK Card
Safety Responsibilities:
- Wearing the correct PPE
- Keeping Vehicles clean
- Completing Checklists
- Keeping Tacho's etc completed
- Conducting daily vehicle and trailer checks
Flexibility to be prepared to do overtimes if and when required. Flexibility on site is required with a can-do hands-on attitude. Be available for emergency call out when/if required.
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
