Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team At FUEGO Tapas team in Riverside square, Bedford.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work collaboratively with both front-of-house and back-of-house staff as well as bar experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth service and high-quality customer service.
- Supervise and train staff, including waiting staff including runners and kitchen personnel, and servers, fostering a positive work environment.
- Help manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimising waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the restaurant.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
- Participate in staff meetings to discuss performance, training needs, and operational improvements.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service.
