City Council is seeking an experienced Projects Engineering Officer to join the Projects Team within the Environment & Regeneration Department. Reporting to the Head of Electrical Services & Projects, you will project manage the development and delivery of a wide range of engineering and construction projects that improve the City’s environment, support Council priorities and enhance services for residents, businesses and visitors. This is an opportunity to shape the City’s environment through varied and impactful projects.
You will need a degree, HND/HNC or equivalent in a building related subject, with experience in construction or civil engineering. You should also have a strong knowledge of CDM, health and safety regulations, building construction and maintenance. Knowledge of NEC and ICC/JCT contracts is essential as well as demonstrable experience designing and delivering engineering schemes, with contract preparation and management experience. An accredited AutoCAD qualification, ability to collect and analyse data, control budgets and report on project performance is also required. You must be an effective communicator, with organisational and time management skills with high attention to detail. A full valid driving licence is necessary.
