Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of goods. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in materials handling, inventory management, and logistics within a fast-paced environment. Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is a shift work role - 06:00 - 14:30/14:00 - 22:30 and suitable for individuals who enjoy physical work and working as part of a team.
Duties
- Handling materials including loading, unloading, and moving stock throughout the warehouse
- Operating forklifts safely and efficiently
- Managing inventory
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch of goods and maintaining organised storage areas
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed at all times during warehouse operations
- Working closely with production teams
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for all necessary skills
- Knowledge of materials handling, stock management, and shipping & receiving procedures
- Licence to operate forklifts safely and full driving licence (certification necessary)
- Intermediate level computer literacy
- Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced setting using excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the warehouse environment
