Job Purpose
Antonine Court Limited is looking for a reliable and conscientious part-time cleaner to ensure our day centre is thoroughly cleaned and ready for the following day.
Antonine Court supports adults with learning disabilities, and maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment is an important part of the care and support we provide.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean all designated areas of the day centre following the end of the service day.
- Clean and disinfect toilets, washrooms and changing areas.
- Clean communal areas, activity rooms, corridors and other service user areas.
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors as required.
- Clean tables, chairs, work surfaces, doors, handles and other frequently touched surfaces.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
- Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet rolls and other hygiene supplies.
- Follow appropriate infection prevention and control procedures.
- Follow cleaning schedules and complete all required cleaning records and documentation.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with COSHH requirements and manufacturer instructions.
- Ensure cleaning products and equipment are stored securely and safely.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, hazards, spillages or infection control concerns promptly to the appropriate manager.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the centre.
- Carry out additional or deep cleaning when required.
- Respect the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of the people who use Antonine Court.
- Follow Antonine Court Limited's policies, procedures, health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
Person Specification
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
- Able to work independently and manage their workload effectively.
- Thorough and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Knowledgeable about safe cleaning practices and infection prevention and control.
- Aware of COSHH and the safe use of cleaning products.
- Comfortable working within an adult social care environment.
- Respectful and understanding of the needs of adults with learning disabilities.
Previous cleaning experience within a care, health or community setting would be desirable.
