Tudor Lodge Nursing Home in Fareham provides high-quality nursing care in a beautiful country house setting. We are rated Good in all five areas by the CQC.
We are easy to reach by public transport, with main bus routes nearby, as well as plenty of free parking and cycle storage. Our team is friendly, supportive and well trained, and we are looking for someone reliable and enthusiastic to join our kitchen team.
As a Kitchen Assistant, your duties will include preparing vegetables and salad ingredients, making simple foods such as sandwiches, soups and desserts, preparing tea trolleys, and using the commercial dishwasher to clear and clean used crockery.
You will also help with daily kitchen cleaning duties, stock deliveries, and preparing hot drinks for residents, visitors and staff at the kitchen serving hatch.
This position is for 19 hours per week and includes weekend working.
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen would be helpful, but it is not essential. You may simply enjoy working in a busy, friendly kitchen environment and be willing to learn.
Basic Food Hygiene training would be an advantage; however, training can be provided for the right candidate.
