We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. Duties
- Provide exceptional patient care by assisting dentists during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit
- Manage reception duties including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries with clear and friendly communication
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
- Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments, managing clinical supplies, and maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Coordinate appointment schedules efficiently to optimize practice flow and minimize wait times
- Communicate treatment plans and post-treatment instructions clearly to patients, answering questions with professionalism and empathy
- Handle administrative tasks such as processing payments, updating patient information, and managing correspondence to ensure smooth daily operations
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English, demonstrating empathy and professionalism
- Proven experience as a dental nurse or in a similar healthcare role with knowledge of nursing practices in dentistry
- Excellent IT skills for managing electronic health records and practice management software
- Outstanding communication skills to liaise confidently with patients, colleagues, and external providers
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment
- Knowledge of infection control standards and clinical procedures within dental settings
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude
