Background: Oasis is a passionate and ambitious organisation committed to tackling the causes and consequences of domestic abuse on families. We are known in Kent & Medway for our dedicated, independent services that have been supporting the cause with a local focus for many years.
Overall: We provide an efficient service for families affected by domestic violence and abuse across Kent & Medway. These families and individuals will have a range of needs, and our client support work is needs-led, risk-focused & trauma-informed with a focus on developing individual resilience. We work with clients in a range of settings. We provide group work and all support colleagues are expected to be capable of integrated working in the wider social system. Colleagues are expected to work flexibly as needed by service demands, this includes evenings and weekends. Where necessary colleagues are also expected to participate in the out-of-hours service, providing an on-call system for the refuge service users (for which enhancements are paid)
Purpose of the role: To lead and manage the charity’s marketing strategy (both on and offline), helping us drive awareness of domestic abuse, grow visibility of our work and brand and encourage fundraising and financial support. Working alongside our Communications Manager as part of a small team, this role is critical in reaching new audiences.
You will produce high-quality content for online and offline channels, building brand awareness and our reputation, using data and insight to help us reach new audiences through the promotion of income-generating activities and appeals. You’ll plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns that engage our supporters, and other stakeholders by telling compelling stories that connect people with who we are and what we do. And you’ll work closely with survivors, ensuring their voices are kept at the heart of everything we do. Finally, you will be expected to show that you care about those affected by domestic abuse and understand our vision and values.
Marketing Manager – Kent – Working From Home (WFH)
Key Responsibilities:
To work with colleagues and external specialists to develop digital strategies to help us interact with people affected by abuse so that they know how and where to find support.
To work with colleagues and external specialists to develop digital campaigns to help us engage prospective and current supporters.
To help grow visibility of our brand and increase our profile as Kent’s largest domestic abuse charity through the growth of our digital channels and development of our digital brand.
To support the development and delivery of Oasis’ overall strategy and key organisational events and campaigns through collaborative planning to best harness our digital channels.
To help champion digital transformation and change so Oasis staff and volunteers are empowered to make the most of the tools available to connect meaningfully with our audiences.
To research, monitor and analyse audience engagement across the digital space, including website development and growing our social media channels.
To take an insights-based approach, using and sharing learning to develop effective user journeys and drive future engagement.
To develop and deliver high quality content based on audience needs for integrated digital and advertising campaigns that can maximise engagement across our whole supporter base.
Track and monitor the charity’s use of email marketing and help to grow this as a channel, using Mailchimp.
Creating digital assets for online and printed ads, email and website using Canva, adhering to brand guidelines.
To maintain a confidential, sensitive and discreet approach to personal, sensitive and organisational information.
To undertake training and attend internal/external meetings as required.
To carry out any other duties as required by the Head of Income and Engagement.
