Security Officer
North Tyneside Councils Facilities Management Team is seeking a committed and professional Security Officer to join our high performing service. This full-time role will be based at Quadrant Campus, supporting the safety, security and smooth operation of this key council site.
About the role
The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and council assets. Duties will include:

Monitoring and patrolling the Quadrant Campus buildings and grounds (this includes both Quadrant East and Quadrant West sites)
- Carry out static guarding duties at Quadrant Campus
- Managing access control, including visitor and contractor sign-in procedures
- Monitoring of CCTV systems
- Responding to security incidents, alarms and emergencies
- Adhere to site operating and emergency procedures
- Respond to questions and queries from building users
- Supporting the wider Facilities Management Team with operational tasks as required
- You will work as part of a dynamic team ensuring that all security duties, as directed, are carried out efficiently.
The salary is grade 3 (SCP 3-4), £24,796 - £25,185.
You would be required to work a three week pattern involving early and late shifts.
The successful candidate
Essential Criteria:
Knowledge and experience of static guarding in community-based settings.
Hold a valid license with the Security Industry Authority.
Strong emotional resilliance appropriate to the role.
Able to communicate effectivly and be confident in managing challenging situations.
