Personal Assistant (Bank) – Bolton (BL1)
£13.86 per hour

I'm looking for a compassionate and proactive Bank Personal Assistant to join my small care team supporting a disabled woman living in the BL1 area of Bolton. This role offers the opportunity to pick up regular shifts with the potential to progress into contracted part-time hours for the right person.
Regular shifts available
- Alternate Saturdays: 4:00pm – 9:00pm
- Alternate Sundays: 4:00pm – 9:00pm
- Alternate Saturdays: 11:00am – 6:00pm for community outings (full UK driving licence essential)
- One waking night per month: Friday 9:00pm – Saturday 9:00am
Additional cover shifts are frequently available for annual leave and sickness.
About the role
You'll be supporting with a range of daily living activities, including:
- Personal care
- Hoisting and transfers (full training provided)
- Specialist bowel care
- Meal preparation
- Household tasks
- Community outings and appointments
- Working as part of a small, supportive team to enable independence and an active family life.
Essential requirements
- Kind, reliable and respectful with a person-centred approach.
- Comfortable providing personal care and intimate support.
- Willing to undertake specialist bowel care training, as bowel care forms an essential part of the role. Full training, competency assessment and ongoing support will be provided.
- Full UK driving licence for community outing shifts.
- Able to work independently, use initiative and work as part of a close-knit team.
Previous care experience is welcomed but is not essential if you have the right values and are eager to learn.
This position is part of a Continuing Healthcare (CHC)-funded care package, with all mandatory training provided and paid for, including specialist bowel care training, manual handling and other role-specific competencies.
