Role Overview
The Box Office Assistant is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests purchasing tickets for live performances at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. The role involves handling ticket sales, answering customer enquiries, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Selling tickets in person, by phone, and online using the box office ticketing system
- Assisting customers with enquiries about shows, seating, pricing, and availability
- Processing payments accurately and securely (cash and card)
- Issuing tickets, reservations, and guest list confirmations
- Handling ticket exchanges, refunds, and booking amendments in line with venue policy
- Liaising with front-of-house, management, and promoters regarding nightly shows
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data protection procedures are followed
- Supporting crowd flow and customer queries during busy performance times
- Representing Ronnie Scott’s professionally and upholding its reputation
Skills & Experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Confident with handling money and payment systems
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and polite in a fast-paced environment
- Basic IT skills; experience with ticketing systems is an advantage
- Interest in live music, jazz, or the arts is desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
