Role
As the trainer assessor you will be able responsible for inspiring and ensuring that our Diploma in care Level 3 - 5 learners going through the National Vocational Accreditation programme with Coral & Reed Training will have an opportunity to thrive and succeed. You will be responsible for mentoring learners during their work, ensuring they are in a safe environment where they can progress and learn. You will also be responsible for setting up and designing processes to get the training centre accreditation ready.
Responsibilities;
· Deliver Health & Social Care NVQ’s and Diplomas up to level 5 (if applicable)
· Undertake appropriate initial assessment of learners to ascertain their starting point on the course
· Prepare and produce scheme of work and session plans as directed by the Head of Learning and Quality team
· Assess the performance of learners against the appropriate national standards, including health and social care and/either Management (level 3) or Functional Skills, in line with awarding body requirements.
· Maintain up-to-date and accurate records (e-portfolio and caseload tracker) for each individual learner
· Carry out regular progress reviews with learners in order to track progress towards timely completions
· Provide on-going information, advice and guidance with learners in order for them to reach their aspirations
· Deliver training on 1:1 or group basis - face to face or online
· Comply with the internal quality assurance strategy in order to ensure that assessments are delivered to a high standard
· Provide progression, retention and achievement information for the course being taught
· Contribute to the self-assessment process which informs continuous improvement
· Undertake appropriate CPD training as identified through the observation and line management process
· Keep up to date with curriculum development in the relevant subject areas
· Deliver inclusive and high-quality courses, materials and opportunities to all learners, and actively seek to eliminate any indirect or direct discriminatory
practice or behaviours
· Achieve good levels of compliance by maintaining timely records
Experience;
· Knowledge and understanding of frameworks and standards up to level 5 with different relevant awarding bodies
· Knowledge of funding streams and funding requirements for the delivery of NVQ’s and Health and Social Care Diploma’s programmes
· Proven knowledge of effective teaching, learning and assessment practices to engage learners
· Ability to support and motivate learners through difficult and challenging times
· Excellent time management skills and ability to manage your own diary
· Ideally, at least two years' experience of working in an education training and development environment
· Experience of managing the full learner journey; initial assessment, IAG, diagnostic, teaching-learning-assessment, including classroom and 1:1 delivery
· Experience of using e-portfolio systems
