The ideal candidate
- Should be technically and commercially astute
- Have excellent communication skills verbally and written, inside and outside the organisation
- Proficient in Microsoft office, especially Excel and AI tools.
- Able to work independently and within the team
- Have knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Be able to deal with RFQs in a timely manner and collate tenders for the sales team
- Provide solutions through knowledge of industry and supply chain
- Work closely with Quality, Sales and Operations to support new product introduction sourcing activities
- Be able to deliver cost reduction activities through global sourcing and alternative materials (in collaboration with Quality and Sales)
- Be able to identify risks in the supply chain (i.e. single sourcing, capacity constraints, raw material market volatility) and implement mitigation strategies
- Support customer and certification audits (i.e. ISO 9001 and EN 9120)
- Work with our local and global suppliers to deliver project sourcing
- Participate in the negotiation of supply agreements
- Maintain and develop supplier relationships and drive our sustainability initiative
- Knowledge of MOD and Aerospace specifications
- Shall have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Engineering Degree or similar
- Knowledge of Fasteners and C-Parts
