About the Company
Sterling PVCU is one of the North West’s leading manufacturers of PVC windows, doors, and conservatories. Established for over 30 years and still privately owned, we pride ourselves on quality, reliability, and offering secure, long‑term employment within a growing and well‑established business.
Due to continued growth, We are looking to recruit a reliable and proactive individual to join our team in a our window manufacturing factory. This role is a hands-on position combining goods-in handling, shop floor housekeeping and general factory support duties.
The successful candidate will play an important role in keeping the factory organised, safe, and running efficiently.
The role is Monday to Friday 07:00-16:30 45 hours per week, possible overtime on Saturday mornings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support goods in, including unloading, allocating stock, and placing items onto benches and storage areas
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the factory floor
- Ensure work areas remain clean, tidy, and safe at all times
- Carry out basic caretaker duties (minor maintenance)
- General upkeep of the facility
- Support production teams with miscellaneous factory tasks
- Work to a daily schedule, while also responding flexibly to additional tasks as required
Requirements
- Good work ethic and a hands-on attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Organised and capable of managing workload effectively
- Basic understanding of factory environments (preferred but not essential)
- Willingness to carry out a variety of duties as required
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Manual handling and health and safety
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
