Mobile HGV Technician – Up to £50,000 – Mobile Role
Location: Manchester & Surrounding Areas
Salary: Up to £50,000 per year (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday (with flexibility for call‑outs)
Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent
About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to support customers across Manchester and the surrounding region. This mobile role is ideal for a technician confident in on‑site servicing, repairs, diagnostics and roadside breakdown support on HGVs and trailers.
You will work independently, travelling to fleet depots, customer sites and roadside locations to deliver high‑quality repairs and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobile HGV servicing at customer locations
- Breakdown response and roadside repairs
- Diagnostics on electrical, mechanical and electronic systems
- Brake systems including relines, chambers, valves and air system fault‑finding
- Trailer repairs including hubs, drums, air systems and lighting
- Safety inspections including MOT prep and defect rectification
- Completing mobile job cards and service reports accurately
- Providing professional customer service on every visit
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in HGV or Motor Vehicle Maintenance
- Strong background in HGV servicing, repairs and diagnostics
- Experience working independently or in a mobile role
- Good communication and customer‑facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
