Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our Italian trattoria kitchen team. The ideal candidate must have several years of experience in Italian cuisine and be confident preparing a full range of dishes, including fresh pasta, grilled meats, fish, and traditional Italian main courses.
This role is suited to someone who is organised, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen while maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes, including pasta, sauces, meat, and fish
- Confidently work on grill and hot sections
- Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen organisation
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist with stock rotation and proper storage of ingredients
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth service
Requirements
- Several years of experience as a Chef
- Strong experience in Italian cuisine
- Experience grilling meat and fish
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Previous restaurant experience essential
