We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Large Format Digital Print Operative to join our production team. You will operate the industry’s very latest, cutting-edge digital printing machinery. This role requires an expert eye for quality control and the technical skill to handle complex, high-profile print runs from setup to final output.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate advanced, latest-generation large format digital printers (including flatbed and roll-to-roll systems).
- File Preparation: Review and prepare digital files using RIP software, ensuring correct scaling, colour profiling, and nesting for optimal material yield.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor print runs continuously to identify and correct any colour banding, alignment issues, or surface defects.
- Maintenance: Perform routine daily, weekly, and preventative maintenance on high-value printing machinery to minimize downtime.
- Material Handling: Select, load, and manage various substrates including vinyl, acrylic, dibond, and sustainable textiles.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven Track Record: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a dedicated large format digital printing environment.
- Software Proficiency: Deep understanding of major RIP software platforms (e.g., Onyx, Caldera) and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of colour management, ICC profiling, and ink behaviours across diverse substrates.
- Location Constraint: Must live within a 15-mile radius of our Oxfordshire facility to support operational flexibility.
