Responsibilities

- Employ behaviour management techniques to maintain discipline and promote respectful interactions
- Provide mentoring and tutoring to students requiring additional support in subjects such as maths or literacy
- Incorporate creative writing, journalism, and proofreading activities to enhance literacy skills
- Organise organisational strategies to track student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and behavioural issues
- Support students with special educational needs by implementing tailored teaching strategies
- Assist in the development of extracurricular activities that promote holistic learning experiences
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring across various age groups or educational settings
- Knowledge of special education practices and behaviour management techniques
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan lessons efficiently and manage classroom dynamics
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Experience mentoring or guiding students in creative writing, journalism, or proofreading projects is desirable
- Familiarity with using organisational tools for tracking student progress and performance metrics
