Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to one of our clients in his own home. This will be a live in position working one week off and one week on. You must be a driver and be able to drive a manual car. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our client by delivering personalised care support with professionalism and empathy.
Duties include but are not limited too:
- Assist client with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support when requested or required
- Support with medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions
- Support to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
- Support with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Drive client to appointments or outings when necessary (client has own car for you to use)
- Offer companionship and engage client in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being
- Assist with heavy lifting and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety for both client and caregiver
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when required
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques
- Certification or training in first aid is advantageous
- Valid manual driving licence for transportation duties (mandatory)
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach towards clients of all ages, including children and elderly individuals
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Organised with excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
- Demonstrated ability to manage behaviour issues with patience and professionalism
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required; a genuine passion for caregiving is essential
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £140.00-£180.00 per day
