PGS Group has been active in the wood packaging industry for 30 years. Due to further expansion we are looking for a: Team Leader.
Ensure the efficient and high-quality execution of operational activities by supervising a team, monitoring procedures, and maintaining clear communication with staff and management. Ensure that Health and Safety procedures are followed and contribute to a safe, organised, and results-driven work environment.
Core tasks:
- Ensure operational areas are executed according to plans, meeting required quality standards and customer expectations.
- Supervise a team of operatives and agency staff on a daily basis.
- Conduct daily quality audits on pallets to ensure compliance with LPR specifications.
- Lead by example to foster a culture of mutual respect among team members.
- Maintain effective communication within the management team.
- Engage all staff in the success of the operation through ongoing feedback and positive communication.
- Ensure that operational procedures and company standards are consistently followed.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory and company Health and Safety requirements.
- Escalate issues that exceed your level of authority promptly and appropriately.
- Act in line with the Company Values in all tasks and responsibilities.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the business.
- Participate in training and development activities aligned with personal growth and business needs.
Profile:
Qualification:
- Previous experience of working in a manual production environment.
Competences :
- Experience in team leading.
- Languages: English, eventual other foreign languages.
- Ensuring compliance with the PGS Code of Conduct and relevant standards and legislation.
- Works accurately and has an eye for detail.
- Strong affinity with numbers, basic literacy skills.
- Is structured and proactive.
- Can work independently, but is also a team player.
- Able to set priorities.
- Has a hands-on approach.
- Is entrepreneurial, respectful and result-oriented.
- Be flexible and adaptable to customer demands and production volume fluctuations.
Pay: From £15.32 per hour
