Job Summary
Copper Coffee Roasters are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Barista/All Rounder to join our team in our newest speciality coffee shop in Hampton Hill! In this role, you will be the face of our café, delivering exceptional service and crafting speciality coffee and beverages that keep customers coming back as well as preparing basic sandwiches and paninis. Your energy, attention to detail, and passion for great coffee and food will create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels valued. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in speciality coffee brewing, latte art, food preparation, customer service, and café operations while working in a lively, family-friendly, fast-paced environment. Whether you're serving up expertly brewed coffee or assisting with food prep, your contribution will be vital to our success.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee beverages and other drinks with precision and care
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide friendly, attentive service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including counters, equipment, and dining spaces
- Follow food safety standards diligently to ensure a hygienic environment for staff and customers
- Support food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or baked goods as needed
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including handling transactions and giving correct change
- Monitor stock levels of supplies and ingredients; communicate needs for restocking or ordering
Experience
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is equally valued
- Knowledge of food safety practices and standards to ensure compliance at all times
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment demonstrates strong communication skills
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing cash register operations
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail during busy periods
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
