Sous Chef – Potential progression to Head Chef
Mediterranean, South American & British Pub Classics
The Winterton Arms is looking for a focused, ambitious and passionate Sous Chef with a real interest in Mediterranean and South American-style cooking, alongside strong, well-executed British pub classics.
Food is a huge part of where we are taking the pub. Our menu is built around proper pub favourites, but with bold flavours, fresh ideas and influences from Mediterranean and South American cooking. We want someone who gets excited by that style of food and wants to help shape it.
We are looking for someone ambitious who is ready to step up. The aim is for the successful Sous Chef to progress into the Head Chef role within 4–8 weeks, provided they demonstrate the leadership, consistency and standards required.
The ideal candidate will support the current Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations, maintaining excellent standards of food preparation, hygiene and consistency, while preparing to take on greater responsibility.

Please note that live-in accommodation is not available for this role. Applicants must be able to reliably travel to and from the pub for their shifts. Due to our location, having access to a car is almost certainly required.
Pay: £16.00-£21.00 per hour
