Downtown Grantham Restaurant is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Restaurant Assistant to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service and thrives in a busy restaurant environment. As a key member of the team, you will help ensure our customers receive a warm welcome and an enjoyable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Taking and serving food and drink orders, including barista work
- Clearing and resetting tables, including using the pot wash at times
- Ensuring the restaurant is clean, tidy and well-presented at all times
- Assisting with food preparation and presentation when required
- Handling customer enquiries and helping to resolve issues positively
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent service
- Following all food hygiene, health and safety procedures
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and customer-focused
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- A strong team player with a positive attitude
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible and willing to support the needs of the business
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
Working Hours
- 25 hours per week, usually worked on up to five days out of seven
- Includes weekend working
- Occasional flexibility required to work additional hours or alternative shifts to support business needs, holiday cover and busy periods
