Salary: £8.00 per hour
Hours: 16 hours per week

ABOUT THE ROLE

Locks & Shades is a multi-award-winning salon and academy based in Yaxley, Peterborough. We are looking for three enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Hairdressers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a long-term career in the hair industry. No previous salon experience is required as full training and support will be provided.
The role will begin on a 16-hour contract and successful candidates will have the opportunity to work towards a recognised hairdressing qualification, with the aim of becoming qualified within approximately 12 months.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Welcoming and looking after clients
- Assisting stylists with services
- Shampooing and preparing clients
- Maintaining high salon standards
- Learning salon procedures and customer service skills
- Supporting reception duties
- Assisting with social media and marketing activities
- Keeping the salon clean, organised and professional
- Participating in regular training and development
