Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Café Kitchen Chef to join our small team. A position has become available in our new café for an experienced ones. As a Kitchen Chef at Café Pastel, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, cookies, sandwiches, light breakfast and brunch. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products, maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
Prepare menu items using measurements and following established recipes.
-Daily stock, temperature checks
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with team members to fulfil orders efficiently and meet production targets.
Participate in recipe development and experimentation to introduce new flavours and variations.
Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices related to baking.
Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Previous experience as a professional chef/baker (Minimum 3 years kitchen experience)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in the workplace.
A passion for baking and a desire to create exceptional food that bring joy to our customers.
Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
