Job Duties:
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team our Kitchen Team at our vibrant and welcoming venue. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation: Prepare and assemble a variety of food items, including hot sandwiches, freshly made pizza, children's meals and party food.
2. Cooking: Assist with cooking and grilling when required, ensuring that food is cooked to perfection and presented attractively.
3. Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide excellent service throughout their visit.
4. Order Processing: Process and expedite customer orders efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to their tables or for takeout orders.
5. Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations, adhering to health and safety regulations.
6. Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels of food items and supplies, and restock as needed to avoid any shortages.
7. Cash Handling: Handle cash and payments accurately, providing customers with correct change and receipts when covering the Cafe area.
8. Collaboration: Work as part of a team to ensure smooth operations, collaborating with fellow kitchen staff, servers, and management.
9. Menu Suggestions: Provide valuable input for menu improvement, new dishes, and seasonal offerings.
10. Adherence to Standards: Follow cafe policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain the quality and consistency of our food and service.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is a MUST. (Please do not apply if you do not have kitchen experience)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- A passion for food, creativity, and a willingness to learn and grow.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and school holidays.
