Musical Theatre / Drama Teacher (Part-Time)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Musical Theatre / Drama Teacher to join our growing performing arts team.
Pay: £15–£20 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)
Hours: Starting with one class per week, with the potential for additional classes and opportunities for the right candidate.
About the role
You will work with children from Reception upwards (Key Stage 1 & 2), delivering engaging and inclusive drama and musical theatre sessions. Classes will help build confidence, creativity, communication skills, and a love of performing arts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate musical theatre and drama classes
- Work towards productions, pantomimes, performances, and examinations
- Encourage participation and confidence in all pupils
- Adapt teaching to support children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
- Contribute positively to a supportive and creative team environment
The ideal candidate will have
- Experience teaching drama and/or musical theatre to young children
- Knowledge of Key Stage 1 and 2 age groups
- Experience working with SEND children
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A passion for helping children develop through the performing arts
Relevant teaching, drama, musical theatre, or performing arts qualifications are desirable, and pay will reflect qualifications and experience.
