Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic Lead Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading Mini Athletics sessions for children aged from 2 -8 years of age. Our coaches need to be confident working with children, energetic and love to have fun! At Mini Athletics Sheffield and Rotherham, we want to encourage as many children to be active and to love being active as possible. The job is ideal for someone who is looking to gain experience of sports coaching or working with young children. Full training is provided and sessions are pre-planned ready to deliver.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver pre planned Mini Athletics sessions.
- Supervise and direct assistant coaches when applicable.
- Provide a positive and professional role model for young children and families attending Mini Athletics sessions.
- Handle customer inquiries and pass on relevant information where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for all participants and parents.
- Follow up to date safeguarding guidance.
- Ensure the hall is safe to use before the session and all equipment tidied up after sessions.
Experience
- Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
- An interest in working with children and/or in the sports industry is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate others effectively.
- Ability to work weekends required.
