About Warwick Batteries UK Ltd
Warwick Batteries UK Ltd is a family-run business with roots on this site going back to the mid-1980s and formally trading as Warwick Batteries since 1999 - getting on for 40 years of continuity supplying batteries and power solutions for virtually any motorised machine. From car, motorcycle and leisure batteries through to marine, mobility, industrial and lithium power, we serve customers across the UK and internationally through our online shop and our trade counter here in Warwick.
We're proud stockists of leading brands including Varta, Exide, Yuasa, Numax, Lucas, Odyssey, Optima, CTEK, NOCO, Enersys, Shido, US Battery, Sonnenschein and more, serving everyone from private motorists to golf clubs, marine engineers and commercial fleets. Our approach hasn't changed in decades: right battery, right application, great advice - with the customer always placed first. That's reflected in well over 2,000 genuine customer reviews, including a perfect 5.0 out of 5 from everyone who's reviewed us as a company.
As the business continues to grow - with real, active plans to scale significantly over the next five years - we need someone at the heart of the warehouse and counter who can grow with it.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Warehouse & Customer Service Assistant to join our small, close-knit team in Warwick. No previous experience is necessary - we'll train you properly in everything, from the physical side of the warehouse through to product knowledge and customer service. What matters far more to us than a CV is that you're reliable, hard-working, and genuinely want to learn and grow with the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Pack and dispatch web and trade orders accurately, printing and matching packing lists and shipping labels
- Check incoming stock for quantity and condition, and rotate stock correctly (FIFO) to protect battery charge and quality
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and easy to work in
- Greet and serve customers warmly, on the phone, by email, and at the counter
- Learn to check, charge, and change batteries, and give customers confident, accurate advice
- Take payments and handle retail sales and invoicing
- Help load the delivery van and support wholesale dispatch when needed
- Work closely with the wider team to help keep daily operations running smoothly
- Help keep stock and sales records accurate across our systems
- Assist with general office and customer service tasks as needed
What Success Looks Like
- Orders packed accurately and dispatched on time
- Stock rotated and organised correctly, with FIFO followed properly
- Customers served warmly and knowledgeably, in person and on the phone
- Growing confidence and independence across the whole role over your first year
What You'll Bring
- Drive, reliability, and a genuine willingness to learn - no experience necessary
- Comfort talking to customers and working as part of a small team
- A hands-on, practical attitude and willingness to get stuck in
- Good attention to detail, particularly around accuracy and stock care
- Honesty, and a willingness to speak up if something isn't working for you - we take that seriously
- Good spoken and written English
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software systems
Room to Grow
This isn't a dead-end role. We've genuinely grown people from this exact starting point into more senior positions within the business, and as we scale over the next five years, there's a real path here for the right person with the ambition to take it. How far you go is down to you.
