We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Estates Surveyor.
This is a part time, temporary contract with a rough end date of March 2027.
In this role you'll be working with the Estate Manager by providing a broad range of professional duties as required by the
retail operation, and to maximise the return on the property portfolio.
The estate comprises a portfolio primarily consisting of over 350 convenience stores, funeral directors, and coffee shops, along with approximately 75 commercial sub let and investment units, and 80 residential properties.
Travel across the south of England will be required.

What to expect...
- Manage the Society's property estate to maximise return, and satisfy operational requirements.
- Assisting in marketing and letting or sales of non-trading properties.
- Manage rent reviews.
- Negotiation of lease renewals, surrenders, dilapidation claims and repair schedules.
- Obtain planning permissions and all necessary consents and licences.
- Agree building works and managing contractors.
- Assist with the acquisition of new property and investment interests.
- Deal with service charge matters and a wide range of Landlord & Tenant and property management matters.
What we're looking for...
- Experience of property management/landlord and tenant issues.
- Ability to manage a mixed portfolio of retail, properties, as landlord or tenant, and a residential
portfolio.
- Excellent communication skills and great at building relationships.
- MRICS qualified with ideally 2 or more years P.Q.E. (Desired).
- UK Driving Licence.
