Fleet Quality Controller - Mallusk
NI Trucks is a commercial vehicle dealership selling the full range of new and pre-owned vans and trucks. We are the principal IVECO franchised dealer in Northern Ireland and have sites in Mallusk and Portadown.
IVECO is an international leader in the development, manufacture, marketing and servicing of a vast range of light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles selling more than 150,000 vehicles each year.
As our Fleet Quality Control, you will act as the key link between our workshop technicians and our customers. You will carry out thorough inspections of a wide range from light vehicles to HGV including buses, ensuring that all repairs, mechanical work and servicing are completed correctly in line with DVSA and manufacturer standards.
Fleet Quality Control – Key responsibilities
1. Ensure that all vehicles meet strict manufacturing, safety, and performance standards.
2. Ensure that all servicing, diagnostics, and repairs meet strict manufacturer and safety standards before a vehicle is released.
3. Conduct thorough quality and safety checks on all heavy and light commercial vehicles following service or repair and vehicles being presented to PSV.
4. Carry out safe road tests on vehicles where required.
5. Identify recurring issues, mechanical faults, or poor workmanship and return vehicles to the workshop for rectification before handover.
6. Ensure that all job cards, inspection sheets, and compliance paperwork are completed accurately and digitally.
7. Work with all Service staff to ensure that the highest levels of quality are achieved.
Essential Experience and personal attributes
8. You must recently have at least two years’ experience with a vehicle dealership or other similar environment in a similar role.
9. You must be apprentice trained and qualified to City and Guilds Level 3, BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in relevant course or similar.
10. You must have IRTEC accreditation.
11. You must be customer focused with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
12. You must be focused on your job with excellent administrative ability.
13. You must be reliable and able to work on your own initiative when required.
Desirable Experience
14. You must have a Class 1 licence / Cat D or be prepared to undertake training for this.
