The role involves supporting our clients to maintain their tenancies and assisting and encouraging them to engage in everyday home, social, leisure, and work-related activities in accordance with their individual choices. The role also includes providing personal care within the community, supporting individuals in their own homes to maintain dignity, independence, and overall wellbeing. This includes assisting with meal preparation, ensuring clients receive balanced and nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs and preferences, as well as supporting with personal hygiene, including washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, and continence care, always promoting privacy and independence where possible.
Support workers will accompany clients to medical and social appointments, ensuring they feel safe, confident, and able to engage effectively with services. The role also involves assisting with daily living tasks such as light household duties (cleaning, laundry, and shopping), medication prompting, and monitoring overall wellbeing. In addition, staff provide emotional support and companionship, helping to reduce isolation and encouraging clients to participate in meaningful activities within their community.
You will be responsible for observing and reporting any changes in health, behaviour, or wellbeing, ensuring that concerns are escalated appropriately. All support must be delivered in line with individual care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures, while empowering clients to live as independently as possible and make informed choices in their day-to-day lives.
One year Experience is required and training will be given by Violets Services
