Job Details:
Mon - Thurs 0800 - 1700 (30 mins unpaid break) Friday 0800 - 1400 (40 hours per week)
£12.71 per hour with opportunity for overtime.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, stock control, and logistics. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Duties
- Operate warehouse equipment for materials handling, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain an organised stock area, keeping track of inventory levels using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the warehouse environment.
- Assist in other departments where necessary of which full training will be provided.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential
- Fork Lift Truck Licence (counter balance and/or reach and/or side loader)
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment is advantageous.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
- Experience with stock management processes or systems is a plus.
