Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscaping & Groundworks Operative to join our team. This role involves maintaining and developing outdoor spaces, ensuring high standards of horticultural and landscape care. The successful candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to operate various tools and machinery. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the construction and gardening sectors while contributing to the enhancement of outdoor environments.
Responsibilities
- Carry out landscaped areas to award winning level as this is how we are
- Operate mechanical equipment such as excavators and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with groundwork preparations, including soil preparation, digging, and levelling surfaces
- Install and maintain patios, driveways, fencing and the odd garden rooms
- Use hand tools for landscaping construction work
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure safety and efficiency
- Support construction activities related to landscaping projects, including setting out and site clearance
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes
Qualifications
- Experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating machinery such as excavators is advantageous
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems is preferred
- Knowledge of horticulture or gardening practices is beneficial
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Physical fitness suitable for manual labour tasks involving lifting and standing for extended periods
- A valid driver’s licence is advantageous but not mandatory
- Must be able to drive and get to work

Pay: £24,420.00-£60,000.00 per year
