You’ll take ownership of team performance, lead by example and contribute directly to achieving operational targets in a dynamic and rewarding workplace.
Title: Team Leader Dishwash, Equipment and Hygiene
Reports to: Department Manager
Shifts: Rotating Shift Pattern 4 on 2 off, 2 earlies, followed by 2 lates
Start times: Between 5.00 am – 7.00 am, (subject to change) 8 and half hour shifts
Rate: £14.01 per hour

Role and Responsibilities
- To ensure all equipment is packed to the required airline specification and to our internal customers on time.

To ensure dish room required throughputs are achieved.

To ensure all wash machine temperature are recorded and monitored.

Maintain all chemical and equipment stock levels.
-
To carry out quality checks including damaged and faulty equipment and segregation in line with airline specifications.
- To ensure waste compacting, removal equipment and systems are in good working condition.

Ensure correct equipment deadhead procedures for all airlines are adhered to and any surplus equipment is packed for storage in the warehouse.

Manage the Hygiene Team to ensure the completion of hygiene schedules to ensure plant and environment are maintained to a high standard. To do this through the effective deployment of resources and forward planning.

Plan and manage team’s output to ensure all targets are met.

Carry out performance monitoring of team members daily and escalate concerns to operational Manager.

Initiate and control continuous improvement of processes.

Ensure you are aware and comply with QHSE policies and procedures.

Ensure you understand Newrest Non-negotiables and adhere to these at all times.

Ensure staff are supervised at appropriate levels and comply with all HSE rules and procedures.

Establish who is reporting any accident/hazards/near misses you witness or are involved in.
Knowledge and Skills
- 1 year experience in catering, day porter or kitchen porter manager(desirable).

Proven leadership ability, with good literacy skills, verbal written and spoken.

Operational awareness, understanding of HACCP, COSHH.

Able to work calmly under pressure.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
