Rehabilitation Assistant Opportunities
Location: Hornchurch
Hours: Part-time & Bank
We’re looking for vibrant, fun, and engaging individuals to join a dedicated support team for a young woman who values independence, good humour, and being treated like the adult she is. Personality is key — she thrives on friendly banter, positive energy, and interactive support from people who genuinely enjoy what they do.
She has a acquired brain injury and requires 2:1 support, including:
- Prompting and assistance with day-to-day activities
- Support with mobility, moving and positioning
- Patience, understanding, and mature guidance
Although she is verbal, she requires patience with communication and needs someone who listens, waits, and communicates with respect. Due to the nature of her brain injury, calm, consistent, and thoughtful support is essential.
About Her
Our female client enjoys listening to music and spending time with her pet dog. She splits her time between her parent’s homes, as family is important to her.
She would like to become more involved in the community and access more local activities and opportunities that support her interests, independence, and social wellbeing.
Shift Pattern
- Day Shift: 07:00 – 18:00 (2:1)
- Tuesday to Friday (split between the client’s Mum and Dad)
About You
- Previous care experience is preferred but not essential — the right attitude is what matters most
- You’re upbeat, approachable, and happy to get involved
- You understand how to support an adult without being overbearing
- You are a non-smoker (the home is a completely non-smoking environment)
- You hold a full UK driving licence (manual vehicle provided; minimum age 25+ due to insurance requirements)
- You are happy around and with dogs
- You can work flexibly and build strong, positive relationships with both the individual and her family
The family is open-minded about background and experience — they’re simply looking for people who genuinely “click”, are reliable, and are committed to providing consistent, high-quality care.
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is required (or willingness to obtain one).
