Business Apprentice
Location – Northwich office (Gadbrook park)
Role Purpose
The Business Apprentice is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who has recently completed their A Levels and is looking to begin a professional career in business.
Working closely with our People and Business teams, you'll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of business functions, developing a broad understanding of how a successful organisation operates. From supporting strategic projects and analysing business data to improving processes and working with colleagues across the business, no two days will be the same.
Designed to develop the next generation of business professionals, this apprenticeship combines structured learning with practical experience, mentoring and exposure to senior leaders, providing an excellent foundation for a long-term career within Long O Donnell.
Key Responsibilities
- Support a variety of business activities across the organisation, gaining experience in People, Commercial, Finance and Business Support functions.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, dashboards and management information.
- Collect, analyse and present business data to support informed decision-making.
- Support business projects, continuous improvement initiatives and internal programmes.
- Help coordinate meetings, events and business activities across different departments.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation and business systems.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, suppliers and external partners.
- Provide administrative support where required while developing an understanding of wider business processes.
- Take ownership of your own development, embracing learning opportunities and contributing new ideas.
About You
We're looking for someone with energy, ambition and a genuine interest in how businesses succeed.
You'll ideally have:
- Recently completed your A Levels (or be due to complete them this summer).
- A desire to build a career in business through a graduate apprenticeship programme.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence using (or willingness to learn) Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- A curious mindset with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and the confidence to take on new challenges.
- The ability to work collaboratively whilst also using your own initiative.
