We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen teams across two local, independent pubs.
This is a hands-on role supporting the chefs and keeping both kitchens clean, organised and running smoothly. You’ll work between the two venues, so flexibility and your own transport would be useful.
The Role
You’ll be an important part of the kitchen team, helping with everything from keeping on top of washing up and cleaning to making sure the chefs have everything they need during busy services.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Keeping the kitchen, equipment and work areas clean and tidy
- Washing up and keeping on top of pots, pans, plates and utensils
- Supporting the chefs during busy services
- Preparing basic ingredients when required
- Emptying bins and maintaining clean waste areas
- Cleaning fridges, floors and other kitchen areas
- Helping with deliveries and putting stock away
- Following food hygiene, health & safety and cleaning procedures
- Working across both venues as required
- Generally mucking in and helping the kitchen team wherever needed
What We’re Looking For
You don’t necessarily need previous kitchen experience — the right attitude is more important.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking and not afraid to get stuck in
- Comfortable working at pace during busy services
- Organised and takes pride in keeping things clean
- A good team player
- Flexible and willing to work across two venues
- Keen to learn and develop within a busy pub kitchen
Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is a bonus, but full training can be provided.
What We Offer
- A friendly, relaxed working environment
- Two independent local pubs rather than a big corporate operation
- A supportive kitchen and front-of-house team
- Flexible working options
- Opportunities to learn new skills and progress within the business
- A role where everyone pitches in and plays their part
If you’re reliable, practical and happy to get stuck in, we’d love to hear from you.
Pay: £10.85-£12.81 per hour
