AZ Distribution supports the movement and delivery of goods through a busy distribution environment where reliability, accountability, and strong operational standards are important to the business. - Provide practical guidance to managers and employees on compliance matters.
- Identify potential areas of risk and recommend proportionate controls.
- Maintain accurate compliance records, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate internal audits and assist with external audits where required.
- Support compliance training and help keep relevant teams informed of their obligations.
- Work with external advisers, auditors, and other relevant parties when necessary.
Experience and skills
- Proven experience in a senior compliance, risk, governance, or regulatory role.
- Strong understanding of UK compliance requirements and good governance practices.
- Experience creating, reviewing, and implementing policies and internal controls.
- Ability to assess risks and explain compliance requirements clearly to non-specialist colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and careful attention to detail.
- Good judgment when handling sensitive or complex matters.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant professional qualifications in compliance, risk, governance, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
