Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Telehandler Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate a telescopic forklift—commonly known as a telehandler—to move, lift, and position materials efficiently across various job sites.
Duties
- Safely operate the telehandler to lift, move, and place materials at different heights and distances on the construction site
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of the telehandler to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition
- Coordinate with site supervisors to determine material placement and delivery priorities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks using the telehandler or other heavy machinery such as excavators
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance needs
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during operation
- Support other construction activities as needed, leveraging your mechanical knowledge and familiarity with excavators
Skills
- Proven experience operating a telehandler in a construction environment
- Valid CPCS Card or NPORS Card with CSCS Logo
