We are an established professional services firm providing outsourced legal cashiering services to law firms in the UK.
We are strengthening our Cashiering Services team by appointing an experienced Senior Legal Cashier. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Cashier or an accomplished bookkeeping or finance professional looking to develop specialist expertise within the legal sector.
Managing your own portfolio of clients, you will play a key role in delivering an accurate, efficient and compliant services while supporting colleagues and contributing to the continued success of the business.
Whilst previous legal cashiering experience is advantageous, we also welcome applications from candidates with significant bookkeeping or finance experience who can demonstrate strong technical accounting skills, exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to develop specialist knowledge of legal cashiering and the Solicitors Accounts Rules. Full training and support will be provided where required.
The Role
As a Senior Legal Cashier, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own portfolio of legal cashiering clients.
- Processing client account transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Preparing and reviewing reconciliations.
- Processing payments through online banking systems.
- Posting bills and transferring funds between accounts.
- Checking completion statements and supporting documentation.
- Processing Land Registry fees and other legal disbursements.
- Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal procedures.
- Building strong relationships with clients through excellent service delivery.
- Providing technical guidance and day-to-day support to colleagues.
- Supporting the induction and development of Trainee Legal Cashiers.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business.

- Significant experience in legal cashiering, bookkeeping or a finance role with responsibility for processing and reconciling financial transactions.
- Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.

- Knowledge of legal accounting software.
Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
